Its all just stages. And reflecting lets you envelope yourself in the memories and emotions that have been occupying your life. I envy those buddhist monks who take that time to meditate and reflect on their actions, taking the time to move slowly and remain at peace. You can’t find that nowadays, especially with the grind everyone seems to be on, caught up in their own agenda.
But in those small windows of opportunity, its good to reflect. Assure yourself of the convictions that are contained within your heart.
The heart, in all its complexity.
Its apparent in our lives. Life is a tragedy. We know our fate, but yet we push ourselves so that in our limited timeframe we can experience this euphoric state of mind. Or strive to at least. And irregardless of the weight of it all, its those blissful moments that keep you going. Giving you some kind of purpose.
But, its not just being caught up.
Its when your ideals match your heart. When you feel like you don’t have to try so hard. When you feel this security in your life. When you feel like the wait was worth it. When you feel like you’ve finally felt it. When you feel that despite your own self-conscious mind, you’re still on top of their world. When you feel like you’ve surpassed the infatuation and gotten into the core. When you feel like you can lay yourself out to get stepped on, but its ok, because they will too. And when you feel like you’re caught in a wave crashing in on you, you just stop and tread, because if you let go, everything feels… right.
Its a high. But I don’t think I’ll ever want to detox.
Couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas present.
